Documentation

Everything you need to get the most out of ForgePlug. Every tool runs 100% in your browser, is free to use, and requires no sign-up. This guide explains how the platform works, what each category offers, and how to use tools like a pro.

Getting Started

Four steps to your first result — usually takes under a minute.

Step 1

Pick a tool

Browse the Tool Marketplace or category pages and open any tool — there's nothing to install, and no account or sign-up is ever required.

Step 2

Add your input

Paste text or JSON, upload a file, or fill in a form. Every tool gives you instant feedback, and most offer sample data so you can try them in seconds.

Step 3

Process in your browser

All processing runs locally on your device with client-side JavaScript. Nothing you enter is uploaded, stored, or shared — you can even work offline once the page loads.

Step 4

Export your result

Copy, download, or print your output in common formats — TXT, JSON, CSV, PNG, SVG, or PDF — depending on the tool.

How ForgePlug Works

Browser-side processing is the foundation of everything we build.

Traditional online tools upload your data to a server, process it, and send the result back. That means your passwords, documents, and personal information travel across the network and sit on someone else's infrastructure.

ForgePlug takes a different approach. Every tool is a client-side application that runs in your browser using JavaScript. When you use a tool, your data stays on your device at all times, no network requests are made with your content, results are computed instantly, and you can work offline once the page is loaded. This is also why every tool is free — there are no servers or processing costs to pay for.

Because processing happens on your hardware, the practical limit for any file or dataset is your device's available memory rather than a server-side quota. Tools like the PDF suite, image suite, and JSON utilities can handle large inputs reliably on modern devices.

Guides by Category

Each category page groups its tools and answers the most common questions.

Work with JSON, JWTs, UUIDs, Base64, hashes, regex, URLs, and passwords. Every developer tool runs fully in your browser, so code and credentials never leave your device.

Compress, convert, resize, crop, remove backgrounds, watermark, and upscale images with the Canvas API and on-device AI. Batch processing is supported for most tools.

Merge, split, compress, rotate, crop, protect, unlock, watermark, add page numbers, and convert PDFs. Files are processed locally with pdf-lib and pdf.js — no uploads, no watermarks, no size limits.

Calculate mortgages, salary breakdowns, income tax across 11 countries, GST, and loan EMIs using verified formulas — all locally in your browser.

Generate meta tags with live social previews, build Schema.org JSON-LD markup, and validate against Google's requirements without uploading your site data.

Analyze readability and keyword density, generate citations, and create digital business cards with vCard export.

Generate citations in 7+ styles and calculate exact ages and date differences for academic and personal use.

Track BMI, BMR, TDEE, calories, heart-rate zones, sleep cycles, and more with clinically validated formulas that run entirely on your device.

Generate and scan QR codes and barcodes in 10+ symbologies, fully client-side with jsQR and ZBar WebAssembly.

Create CSS gradients visually with live preview and export to CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, and more.

Tips & Best Practices

Small habits that make a big difference when working with browser-based tools.

Use the sample data

Every tool ships with ready-made examples. Load one to see the expected output before you paste your own data.

Save your work locally

Because nothing is uploaded, anything you want to keep must be exported by you. Use the Copy or Download buttons to save results to your device.

Keyboard shortcuts

Press Ctrl/⌘ + K anywhere to search all tools. Many tools also support shortcuts for common actions — hover over buttons to see them.

Process large files carefully

Browser-based tools are limited by your device memory, not by server quotas. Very large files work, but may take longer on low-end hardware.

Documentation — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about using ForgePlug and its browser-based tools.

Do I need to create an account to use ForgePlug tools?
No. Every tool works immediately without an account, email, or personal information. There are no sign-ups, subscriptions, or usage limits — every tool is free.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. All tools process data entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your text, files, passwords, and personal data never leave your device and are never stored on our servers.
Which browsers are supported?
All tools work on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. A few advanced features (Web Crypto API, camera access for scanners, Web Speech API) require a modern, up-to-date browser.
Can I use ForgePlug tools offline?
Once a tool page has loaded, its core functionality works without an internet connection because all processing happens locally. Some features that fetch resources (like certain fonts or QR assets) may require connectivity.
Are the results from calculators accurate?
Yes. Financial and health calculators use standard, verified formulas — amortization formulas for loans, tax brackets for income tax, MET values from the Compendium of Physical Activities for calorie burn, and WHO classifications for BMI. Results are estimates for general guidance and should not replace professional advice.
How do I request a new tool or report an issue?
Use the Contact page — there's a dedicated form for bug reports, feature requests, questions, and business inquiries. You can also reach us directly by email.
