Our Commitment to Privacy

At ForgePlug, we take your privacy seriously. All tools on this platform run entirely in your browser. No data you input is ever sent to our servers, stored, logged, or shared with third parties.

Browser-Side Processing

Every tool on ForgePlug processes data locally on your device using client-side JavaScript. When you use a tool:

  • Your data stays on your device at all times
  • No network requests transmit your content
  • Results are computed instantly without server round-trips
  • You can work offline once the page is loaded

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information solely for operational purposes:

  • Server Logs — Our hosting provider automatically collects standard server logs including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and page request timestamps. This data is used exclusively for operational monitoring, security, and debugging. We do not correlate this data with individual users.
  • Theme Preference — We store a single cookie to remember your preferred color theme (light or dark mode). This is strictly functional and does not track your activity.
  • Analytics — If enabled, Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how visitors interact with our site. See the Analytics section below for details.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies solely for functionality purposes:

  • forgeplug-theme — Stores your preferred color theme. Expires after 1 year. Strictly necessary.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies that collect personal data. For more details, see our Cookie Policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This helps us improve our tools and user experience. Google Analytics is only enabled when theNEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID environment variable is configured.

Google Analytics collects anonymized information such as:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • General geographic location (country level only)
  • Referring website or traffic source

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

We do not currently display advertisements. In the future, we may use Google AdSense to serve ads. AdSense uses cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history. You can manage ad personalization settings at Google Ad Settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Vercel — Hosting and CDN. Collects standard server logs for operational purposes. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics — Anonymized usage analytics (optional, environment-configured).
  • Google AdSense — Advertising (future use, currently disabled).

Data Retention

Since we do not store user-submitted data, there is no data to retain or delete. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security and operational purposes, after which they are automatically deleted.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • The right to access information we hold about you
  • The right to request deletion of your data
  • The right to opt out of analytics tracking
  • The right to be informed about data processing
